It all begins in a texas oil field
Deep in the Permian Basin lies the building blocks of our premium filtration material. High grade crude oil, "Texas Tea" is refined into ethane and propane, which are then treated with heat in a process called "cracking".

The Pellets
The result of the cracking process is ethylene and propylene monomers. These ingredients are combined together to create the polymer pellets used to make TMS Meltblown.
The Process
The pellets are then transformed into meltblown fabric.
The melt-blown extrusion process uses a stream of high-velocity air to blow our pressurized molten resin pellets through a specially designed extruder die tip onto a conveyor, or what is called a take-up screen.

Due to this unique production method, TMS Meltblown fibers produce a very lofty nonwoven where the fibers can stack and create a 3D network that has a high porosity leading to very high air permeability and excellent filtration.
The Results
This unique structure combined with an added electrostatic charge allows our masks to capture up to 99.9% of bacteria on certified laboratory testing.
